這是原版的 Keep Calm and Carry On 海報。根據 @boobookittiefuck 的說法，這張海報是在她公司的地下室拍到的。那地方以前是間銀行，地下室有金庫跟保險箱之類的東西，在二戰期間被當作防空避難所，所以就貼著這張海報。
一張海報，過了七十幾年還在它原來的位置，默默地繼續它被賦予的任務，遠比那家書店找到的海報要更加珍貴了。

NTU Library 2012 Calendar & Desktop Pictures
They are historical collections of National Taiwan University Library, now available as high quality desktop pictures (up to 1920x1200 pixels).
The calligraphy in this picture is written in Japanese by 岩崎常正 (濯園) in his woodblock illustrated book《本草図譜 Honzō Zufu》, 95 volumes total, published in 1828, and the ones NTU Library had are the 1918~1922 reprinted version.

「週刊東都」の新米記者、沢田は新左翼運動への取材を通じて活動家たちに共感を抱きながらも、ジャーナリストとして客観性を保たなければならない立場との間に葛藤する日々を送っていた。1971年のある日、彼の所に活動家を名乗る梅山という青年が接触してくる。自分は「京西安保」の幹部であり、武装決起を起こすなどと語るその言葉は、いずれも真偽定かならぬものがあったが、宮沢賢治を愛読し、CCRの『雨を見たかい』をギターでつま弾く姿に、沢田は親近感を覚えていく。やがて梅山は学生仲間を引き込んで「赤邦軍」なる組織を作ると、自衛隊基地を襲撃して武器を奪うという計画を立てる。計画を明かされた沢田は自分に独占取材させてくれと頼み、事件に巻き込まれていくことになる。スープ・オペラ (Soup Opera)

The School Song
Last night, while surfing the web, I accidentally found a 2010 Japanese high school movie called 書道ガールズ!! わたしたちの甲子園 (Shodo Girls!! Watashi-tachi no Koushien). It’s a story about youths (mostly high school girls), high school life, calligraphy club, and how they saved their declining club by performing calligraphy with pop music.
And what interested me the most, is the school song (more precisely, song for the class) from the movie soundtrack, 望郷日誌 (四国中央高校・同窓歌). It’s a typical Japanese school song, fully inspirational and encouraging:
私の好きなもの 青い空 青い海 海へと続く坂道を 自転車で駆げ抜ける 故郷の街並み そびえ立つエントシは いつでもどこでも 私を見守ってくれる 私の大切な 思い出は 宝物 空へと延びる虹の道 風の道 雲の道 懐かしい微笑み 心地より紙触り いつでもどこでも 私は忘れは しなわだろりBy listening to that song, it brought back the memory of my high school days. And later, my wife also mentioned her high school song, and sang it to me. Reminiscence.
My wife had graduated from Taipei First Girls’ High School, it’s one of oldest high schools in Taiwan, founded in 1904 during the Japan’s colonial period. Just so, the school has a Japanese school song during 1929 to 1945:
すめら御国の 南（みんなみ）の ここ蓬莱が うまし島 島の民草 栄えゆく 基つちかう おみなごの 光栄ある教 布かんとて とくひらかれし 学び舎は これぞ我等が 母校なる あした夕べに 剣潭（けんたん）の かしこき宮居 仰ぎつつ 月影清き 淡水や 旭に匂う 大屯の 姿をしのび たゆみなく 心をみがき 身をねりつ 集うや九百の 姉妹（あねいもと） めぐみ豊けき 常夏の 島に繁れる 草は木は 常磐のみどり 蔭深く 永劫の生命の しるしなる 我等がそのの 撫子も 正しく強く しとやかに 変わらん操 養えやFor comparison, here is the school song of Taipei Japanese School:

Actually, if you read Trad. Chinese, there’re several academic papers about Taiwan’s school songs in Japan colonial period, which would be an interesting read for weekend afternoon:

Peebles
Peebles was the ship’s cat aboard HMS Western Isles. Another cat who became a favourite of the ship’s crew, he was known to be particularly intelligent and would shake the hands of strangers when they entered the wardroom. Peebles is seen at the right on top of the deck, participating in a game of jump through the hoop during the Second World War.
However, the Royal Navy banned cats and other pet animals from all ships on the ocean in 1975 on hygiene grounds.
