Trees Species Around the Mothership™
According to Apple’s landscaping plan from cupertino.org, total 6,000 trees will be planted in the new campus, includes:
Primary Trees
- Valley Oak (Quercus Lobata)
- Native Green Oak (Quercus agrifolia)
Secondary Trees
- Olive Trees (Olea europaea)
- Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica)
- Deciduous Magnoila (Magnolia dodecapetala)
- Japanese Maples (Acer palmatum)
- Jeffrey Pine (Pinus jeffreyi)
Orchard Trees
- Apples (Malus domestica)
- Apricots (Prunus armeniaca)
- Plums (Prunus americana)
- Persimmon (Diospyros kaki)
This will be an awesome campus, can’t wait!

The Idea Behinds the New Mothership™
Fujian Tulou (福建土樓) is “the most extraordinary type of Chinese rural dwellings” of the Hakka and others in the mountainous areas in southeastern Fujian, China. They were mostly built between the 12th and the 20th centuries.

The New Mothership™ is Landing in 2015
While everyone is exciting about ARC at Moscone Center today, Jobs presents the new Apple Campus design to the Cupertino City Council.
And Apple wants to break ground next year (2012), and move-in in 2015.
CAN’T WAIT.
P.S. The new campus is designed by Norman Foster and partners (who also designed the Gherkin), though the design is not new to us.
