Sherlock Is Judo Shodan Granted
Don’t just watch Watson’s hand, look at the certification on the wall, that’s official Judo shodan (first rank) grade certificate for Sherlock Homes in 1965 (!!!, Showa 40).
Here is the comparison with real one (second grade, 2000, Heisei 12):

FYI, Lot of people also found other similar certificate (but it’s not the same one, the one on the wall has two additional kanji characters at the top right corner), saying the name should be “ジェフリィ・ディ・ベイシェ (Jeffrey D. Beish).” (Thanks, combatlauten!)
